Answered by Patrick Farrell, photographer and software engineer
I would be leveraging all of the skills I have been building up over my life.
In some sense I am right now starting anew by leading retreats and building connections with organizations such as the United Nations. But that doesn't mean I don't leverage all of my existing networking, software and photography skills to make it happen. In fact, my connection into the United Nations was because of my photography skills.
Networking is really important. I built relationships with people that I knew would hire me before I left my full time job. I also started building out my social media profiles and becoming known as an expert in a particular field.
Generally make sure you push your comfort zone, and make sure you are learning every day. Build things that are good for the planet, find your passion and find your why.
