It depends on which country I go to and for how long, but most of the time, I simply buy a local SIM card and use it on my phone.
They're usually really cheap and you can get them in most airports, which is very convenient - you land in a new country, go through the immigration, get your SIM card, hail a taxi to your place and begin your new adventure.
What's more, in quite a few countries I travel to, it's quite difficult to find a proper Wi-Fi connection. However, if I have a 3G or 4G connection on my phone, I can share that network with my computer and continue working absolutely anywhere I go, which is great!
