To be honest, not really...
Every time I travel actively - ride motorbikes, hike mountains, go diving, island-hopping, etc., I'm so occupied with all of my daily activities that I don't even have the time to think about loneliness - there's just too much happening!
However, every time I do a 'retreat' (spend 1-2 months in one place and focus on work), I do get a little lonely at times since I get a lot of 'free time' and even though I usually have a lot of local friends, those connections are not as strong as the ones I've formed back home.
So the reason I never felt lonely at the beginning of my travels was simply because I was traveling so actively I hardly found the time to sleep haha!
