When starting out as a freelance marketer, what do you deem to be the best lead acquisition platforms/channels apart from freelance websites?

I started out to be an affiliate marketer, learning the tips, tricks and strategies to promote products online. I believe that the best lead acquisition platforms/channels are attending live networking events. I have invested one full year, networking with countless entrepreneurs and business owners, property tycoons and much more. You never know what could happen from nourishing those friendship and relationships.
