How much does it cost to self-publish a book?

It does depend on what you want to do, how much you want to invest in marketing, design, editors, and how large/ long you want your book to be. I'd bank on $5-10K minimum. However you could do it for a lot less if you're going super simple and budget, but I wouldn't advise it.
