What experience inspired you to become a travel writer?

I was inspired to become a travel writer because when I started out sharing my trips, I was constantly asked "How do you afford it," "How can I start traveling like you," "Where do you sleep? Where do you shower? How do you get around?" Yes, I have been asked where I shower and if hostels have showers. I decided to start travel writing/blogging to help show others how it's all possible, and how they can do it too. I never had a strict career before I started writing; I saved money from home before I left, and I've done odd jobs along the way. For anybody who does have a career they're not happy with and they're wanting to leave- My best advice is to just do it. Nike said it once, and I'm saying it again. Just do it! There will never be a "right time" to take that leap- if you've been dreaming of traveling, or switching careers- no matter what it is, this is your sign. Take advantage of the opportunity and it'll all work itself out with time and motivation!
