Do you prefer to use pre-designed platforms or to code/do-it-yourself?

I'm a huuuge fan of pre-designed platforms, because they can generally do 99% of what you need for 5% of the price. If I want to create a simple one-pager, I'll use LeadPages.net; if I want to create a simple website/blog, I'll use WordPress.org; if I want to start an online shop, I'll use Shopify.com.

If there's a platform that does what you want to do by yourself, try to use the platform first (to have a fast and cheap MVP test) andto only do it custom if the business is already taking off. You'll save tons of time and money.
