How do you manage taxes in your location independent business?

I get my uncle who's an accountant to file my taxes once a year, and my assistant to help organize my invoices and expenses on a more regular basis. I definitely recommend getting some professional help right from the start to make sure you deal with taxation correctly. It might seem like not a big deal, but you don't want to wait till the last minute to figure all this out.

Two specific things to keep in mind:

1. The corporate structure of your business (if you have one) / your employment status
2. Your residential status in the country you're staying in
